Job summary

Crestwood Behavioral Health seeks a Staff Development Coordinator/Trainer (Director of Training and Staff Development) to design, implement, and assess orientation and education across all departments. The role requires coordinating diverse staff while maintaining high instructional standards.

The position is full-time with opportunities for professional growth and advancement within Crestwood’s learning programs. Certifications such as Pro-ACT and CPR/First Aid are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of full-time experience planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in a healthcare setting with supervisory duties, or two years in Crestwood roles.
• Within three months, obtain minimum 24 hours of continuing education focused on planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs in a healthcare setting and mental health.
• Complete the Core Competencies training facilitated by the Corporate Learning and Performance team.
• Complete Pro-ACT certification; keep certifications current.
• Training certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Job Duties

The Staff Development Coordinator/Trainer develops, implements, and evaluates all orientation and educational programs for all departments within the facility. This position requires the ability and desire to work with a diverse group of individuals in a respectful and professional manner. The Staff Development Coordinator/Trainer upholds the high standards of instruction and training for all employees working at the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred.
• One (1) year of full-time experience planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in a healthcare setting, and demonstrating supervisory abilities, or two (2) years of employment with Crestwood as a Recovery Coach, Service Coordinator, or other applicable role.
• Within three (3) months of accepting this position, the incumbent will obtain a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education focusing on planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs in a healthcare setting and mental health.
• The incumbent will complete the Core Competencies training facilitated by the Corporate Learning and Performance team.
• The incumbent will complete the Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT) certification. The incumbent will ensure that all their certifications, including but not limited to Pro-ACT, are maintained current and in good standing.
• Training certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRCs) provide psychosocial rehabilitation programs in secure, residential settings with a focus on brief lengths of stay. Crestwood's Psychiatric Health Facilities (PHFs) are dedicated to restoring a sense of hope, self-empowerment, and realized potential of recovery in each of our clients. PHFs are for clients who require stabilization, medication management, behavioral interventions, psychotherapy, psychosocial education, and a transition plan to enable a successful return to their community. Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRCs) provide psychosocial rehabilitation programs in secure, residential settings with a focus on brief lengths of stay.
