Position Details

We are currently seeking an experienced STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (RN LICENSE REQUIRED) for a full-time, day shift position.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the staff development program for the facility.
  • Serve as the personnel health nurse.
  • Provide orientation for all new employees following established policies.
  • Conduct blood-borne pathogens and hazard communication standards training for staff.
  • Act as primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program, as approved.
  • Organize workshops, in-service, and continuing education classes.
  • Schedule and direct in-house in-service sessions.
  • Assist in reviewing incident reports with the Nursing Management Team.
  • Work as charge nurse or supervisor during emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of five years nursing experience in a long-term care setting or nursing education.
  • Ability to deliver quality nursing care and interest in geriatric nursing.
  • Yearly CPR certification.
  • Supervisory skills to oversee nursing staff.
  • Decision-making ability regarding nursing issues.
  • Strong teaching and instructional skills.
  • Knowledge of personnel, department, and facility procedures; compliance with regulations.
