Qualifications

• Experience owning the technical vision and scaling a design system across multiple teams.
• Deep knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and productivity improvements.
• Expert knowledge of React, TypeScript, Git, Figma, and component documentation platforms (Storybook).
• Expert CSS and headless UI knowledge; lead complex tech initiatives and pivots.
• Strong understanding of accessibility (ARIA, WCAG) and WCAG compliance within product roadmaps.
• Ability to connect feedback, data, and usage signals to inform strategic goals.
• Portfolio or GitHub profile showing design-system work or systems-level engineering.
• Experience evaluating AI solutions and integrating GenAI in foundational architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision for the QuickBooks Design System and lead its strategy.
• Orchestrate complex initiatives coordinating with Product, Analytics, and Design teams.
• Improve rendering performance, optimize bundle sizes, and enable tree-shaking across the ecosystem.
• Design end-to-end customer workflows and scalable UI solutions across the org.
• Enhance Developer Experience and establish upgrade paths for consuming teams.
• Champion accessibility and ensure WCAG compliance across components.
• Align engineers and cross-functional partners to close tech gaps and raise productivity.
• Explore AI/GenAI tools to solve cross-team challenges and advance architecture.
