Job Summary
East Tennessee State University, College of Nursing, is seeking a full-time Staff Dentist at the Johnson City Community Health Center (JCCHC), a state-of-the-art facility on par with any of its kind in the United States. Funded by a generous grant from the U.S. Department of Health Resources and Services Administration, it was established through the vision of leaders at ETSU, the College of Nursing, and the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences, all of whom are dedicated to providing access to basic health care services for all in our community and region.
Under the direction of the Dental Clinic Manager/Executive Director, the staff dentist is responsible for the provision of professional, high-quality dental treatment and education and/or consultation to a broad range of patients at the Johnson City Community Health Center Dental Clinic.

The employee may be required to move and/or stay in a stationary position in various settings for up to 12 hours at a time in addition to preparing and closing a clinical shift. Rapid mobility may also be required on occasion. Physical expectations of an assigned clinical facility may vary and be subject to change.
Stress levels may be high due to frequently dealing with numerous students, patients, family members, and other healthcare providers. This position demands concentration and the ability to work in emotionally charged situations.
