The Role
The Staff Delivery Manager leads and empowers the Product & Engineering organization to deliver high-quality projects and products through mentorship, coaching, and obstacle removal. They facilitate alignment on objectives, ensure clear communication of progress, and foster collaboration across the organization. By establishing well-defined SDLC processes and shared expectations, they enable consistent delivery and continuous improvement of agile practices.

What You Will Do

• Lead complex initiatives: Drive initiatives across departments using agile practices, from inception to completion, ensuring coordination among stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making: Collaborate with decision-makers to remove roadblocks and ensure timely delivery of quality software within set parameters.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration: Act as a liaison, promoting transparency and swift resolution of impediments.
• Proactively address ambiguity: Design systems to clarify uncertainties, establish shared understanding, and coach teams towards alignment.
• Oversee SDLC: Manage SDLC design, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Cultivate agile proficiency: Coach leadership to embrace and improve agile practices through training and guidance.
• Champion agile principles: Help leaders understand and apply agile principles to empower teams.
• Empower agile ceremonies: Coach teams on the principles of agile ceremonies across departments.
• Encourage agile experimentation: Foster a culture of continuous improvement through experimentation and systems thinking.
• Align priorities: Balance needs of product, engineering, and QA, fostering collaboration.
• Identify and address skill gaps: Recognize and resolve skill deficiencies hindering delivery.
• Ensure backlog quality: Guide teams to maintain well-defined, prioritized backlogs aligned with goals.
• Enhance team dynamics: Manage conflicts and promote a positive, collaborative environment.
• Monitor team health: Track and analyze team and SDLC health, addressing trends proactively.


• Stay informed: Continuously learn and evaluate new agile frameworks and practices.
• Jira Administration: Collaboratively configure Jira to balance simplicity and flexibility.
• Forecast Facilitation: Ensure understanding of probabilistic forecasting, train managers, and communicate forecasts transparently.

What You Need to Succeed

• Experience implementing agile solutions at all SDLC levels, especially organizational
• Understanding of SDLC impacts on delivery and quality
• Proven experience leading agile transformations
• Ability to coach senior leaders in agile practices
• Certifications: Kanban, SAFe, Scrum

Compensation

Range: $128,000 - $160,000, plus possible discretionary bonus. Actual salary depends on experience, skills, location, and laws.

Location

Remote, with Indianapolis employees able to work from HQ. No visa or relocation support currently.
