The Opportunity

We’re seeking a highly skilled and proactive Staff Data Scientist to join our Experimentation Platform team. You will build frameworks and tools to enable scalable experiments across the company, facilitating experiment design, execution, and interpretation with advanced methodologies. Your work will improve experimentation efficiency and accuracy, and you will help define and implement scalable data analysis methods.

This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of experimentation and statistical methods, interested in creating standardized systems that democratize experimentation within an organization.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Enhance analysis methodologies: Implement advanced techniques to ensure robust experimental results.
  2. Tool building and automation: Develop intuitive tools for monitoring and interpreting experiments.
  3. Design and analyze experiments: Collaborate with stakeholders on experiment design and insights.
  4. Define best practices: Establish standards for experimental design and analysis, including statistical tradeoffs.
  5. Research and innovate: Incorporate cutting-edge techniques like uplift modeling and causal inference into tools.
  6. Collaborate with teams: Work with engineers to integrate experimentation tools into platforms.
  7. Democratize experimentation: Create resources and dashboards to empower experimenters.
What We're Looking For
  • Background in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods including frequentist, Bayesian, and causal inference techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and tool development.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to scale data science workflows.
Additional Preferences
  • Experience with experimentation platforms or frameworks.
  • Building APIs or interfaces for self-service experimentation.
  • Knowledge of ad tech, big data tools like Spark, Flink, BigQuery.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
