Job Overview:

As an integral member of our Applied Data Science team, the Staff Data Scientist will employ a diverse set of algorithms to solve intricate problems. You'll lead efforts in designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models to improve our health engagement platforms and produce significant outcomes aligned with our mission. You will collaborate with colleagues from a diversity of quantitative, engineering, product, operational, and clinical backgrounds to do your best work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Algorithm Implementation and Optimization: Utilize a broad spectrum of data science algorithms, such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, K-Means, K-Nearest Neighbors, and Dimensionality Reduction, to optimize for high performance in various healthcare scenarios.
  2. Production Deployment: Showcase a track record of deploying machine learning models into production. Lead the end-to-end deployment process, ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless integration with our systems, leveraging cloud platforms like AWS Sagemaker or Azure ML.
  3. Business Impact Analytics: Surpass theoretical data science by demonstrating and quantifying the business impact of your models. Articulate how your work has driven improvements, decision-making, and measurable outcomes in prior roles.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work within an Agile framework to foster an environment of rapid iteration and collaboration. Engage with teams across the organization to convert complex data insights into actionable strategies that support Omada Health’s objectives. Work with product teams to turn ambiguous ideas into practical solutions that deliver impact to users.

About You:

  1. Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  2. Skills: Demonstrable experience with a wide array of data science algorithms and their real-world problem-solving applications. Deep expertise in deploying machine learning models to production. Proficiency in Python is required; R experience is a plus.
  3. Collaboration: Exceptional collaborative skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to project evolutions and distill complex data insights into understandable, actionable information. You relish teaching and learning from your peers. You can communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
