Courtyard.io is hiring a Staff Data Scientist to own fraud, risk, and payments analytics and models. This embedded role partners with engineering, operations, finance, and product, delivering end-to-end detection and risk measurement with autonomy to balance safety and good customer experience.

You’ll build high-volume risk evaluation systems, conduct complex vector analyses, and collaborate across teams while operating in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of DS/analytics experience with fraud, risk, trust and safety, or payments.
• Must be self-driven with proactive risk insights.
• Experience building high-volume risk evaluation systems and conducting vector analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own detection end to end—from signal to production outcome.
• Develop network analysis to surface coordinated behavior.
• Measure and own risk metrics and thresholds.
• Partner with marketing/product to test incentive/referral mechanics pre-launch.
