Job summary

Jobber seeks a Staff Data Scientist, Applied Machine Learning to own models and systems for automated decisioning, training and evaluation using graph representation learning, transformer architectures, and ranking at scale inside Jobber's product.

This senior individual contributor will define ML architecture, maintain SignalGraph, build retrieval-augmented generation, establish MLOps standards, and mentor other scientists while staying current on AI/ML advances.

Qualifications

• Produced end-to-end ML systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend SignalGraph to trace metric changes to root causes.
• Design, build, and evaluate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
• Own production ML end-to-end: training, serving, monitoring, drift detection, retraining.
• Establish systematic evaluation and regression testing for ML systems.
• Set the technical bar and mentor other scientists on graph and deep learning methods.
