Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, database engineering, or software engineering owning production data infra.
• Deep Snowflake expertise: warehouse config, RBAC, cost optimization, performance tuning.
• Expert SQL, dbt, Python; production-grade pipeline code and complex queries.
• Proven source pipeline experience: CDC, connectors, API ingestion, S3-based ingestion.
• Strong data modeling, governance, privacy, and observability basics.
• AWS fluency: RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, security groups.
• Preferred: cross-system data interactions; parallel migrations; healthcare data familiarity.
• Preferred: Terraform or IaC tooling; PostgreSQL telemetry and tuning.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Snowflake platform end-to-end as usage scales.
• Own source pipeline reliability, expand connections, manage schema drift and SLAs.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and governance with observability and monitoring.
• Lead incident response with root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Improve data architecture and storage to boost performance and reduce costs.
• Set standards and guide architectural decisions as team/platform scales.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional data infrastructure decisions.
