Job summary

Intuit in Troy, MI is seeking an experienced data-platform engineer to own the end-to-end data path for Credit Karma. You will design and build scalable data frameworks, streaming pipelines, and persistence layers used by dozens of product teams.

You will work with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Spanner, and gRPC to deliver reliable data services at scale, while improving developer experience and ensuring secure data access across the platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience building data infrastructure
• Experience with large-scale streaming systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Cloud data pipelines on GCP/AWS/Azure (Dataflow, BigQuery, Spanner)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency data frameworks used across Credit Karma's engineering organization
• Develop and extend Scala-based microservices and frameworks
• Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
• Own and evolve Kafka-based streaming infrastructure with latency/durability guarantees
• Create self-service developer tooling to reduce onboarding time
• Drive technical design through architecture reviews and TDDs
• Participate in on-call rotations and build observability into systems
