Job summary

Scowtt Inc is hiring a Senior / Staff Software Engineer — Data Platform to own and evolve data systems powering Marketing AI and AI Sales Agents. The role is backend-focused, with occasional frontend work, and requires ownership from design through production.

You’ll build scalable data pipelines, integrate with data warehouses, and collaborate across GCP and AWS to deliver reliable data products for ML, analytics, and customer-facing apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years building production software systems.
• Strong hands-on Python and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing and operating backend services and data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and experience with large datasets.
• Experience on GCP and/or AWS.
• Ability to own complex systems from design to production.
• Strong problem-solving and fast-moving in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own backend and data systems end-to-end, from design to production operation.
• Design scalable data pipelines for CRM, web, advertising, product, and more.
• Build integrations with data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift.
• Develop data ingestion patterns across APIs, storage, and event systems.
• Create curated datasets and data models for ML, analytics, and products.
• Develop backend APIs and internal tools using Python and TypeScript.
• Handle large historical backfills and low-latency incremental processing.
• Improve data quality, schema evolution, observability, and reliability.
• Build tooling for onboarding, validation, and automated troubleshooting.
• Collaborate across GCP and AWS and guide pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
