Job summary

Backblaze is seeking a Director, Enterprise Systems & Architecture to own the technical vision, architecture, and operations of the company’s enterprise systems and AI use cases. You will lead governance across Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Snowflake, and the integration ecosystem, partnering with CRO, CISO, and CFO to scale safely.

The role combines hands-on platform engineering with strategic leadership, managing Salesforce admin and NetSuite teams while driving a broader platform capability

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or Platform Engineering at a public or regulated company.
• Experience deploying AI agents or LLM-powered workflows in production.
• Deep experience governing Salesforce and NetSuite environments at scale.
• Knowledge of API gateways, data integration patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams and communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise systems architecture roadmap across commercial, financial, and GTM tech.
• Own architecture governance standards and ADRs for major system changes.
• Lead evaluation of new tech, including iPaaS and middleware, aligned with long-term goals.
• Ensure scalable, secure, auditable architectures in a public company environment.
• Manage Salesforce administration and NetSuite techno-functional teams.
