Rippling in Seattle is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Data Ingestion to build end-to-end data pipelines, ingestion systems, and platform tooling at scale. You will own API surfaces, data processing components, and contribute to multi-tenant architectures that move billions of rows daily.

You should have 8+ years of software development, strong CS fundamentals, and proven experience delivering large-scale APIs and developer tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals and system design.
• Proven track record building large-scale apps and APIs.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Bonus: contributions to open-source projects (Iceberg, Parquet, Spark, Hive, Flink, Delta Lake, Presto, Trino, Avro).

Responsabilités

• Develop high-quality software with attention to detail using tech stacks like Python, Apache Kafka, Iceberg, Temporal.
• Create Data pipelines and processing products used at large scale.
• Create data platforms, data lakes, and data ingestion systems that work at scale
• Have clear ownership of one or many products, APIs or platform spaces
• Build and grow your engineering skills in different challenging areas and solve hard technical problems
• Influence architecture, technology selections, and trends of the whole company
