Job summary

Lumilens is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Data to build data pipelines and dashboards that turn raw manufacturing and test data into reliable signals for engineers, researchers, and leadership. You’ll work with optical, manufacturing, and quality teams to design data models and tooling.

This role emphasizes scalable data infrastructure, strong software practices, and mentoring other engineers as Lumilens scales across sites in Thailand, Bangalore, Singapore, and the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering focused on data systems.
• Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience building dashboards with Superset/Looker/Tableau.
• Proficiency with Python data stack (pandas, numpy).
• Cloud data infrastructure experience, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build data pipelines turning manufacturing and test data into actionable signals for engineering and leadership decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards for executives, engineers, and customers.
• Collaborate with optical, manufacturing, and quality engineers to model data.
• Implement automated data quality checks and validation pipelines.
• Identify and close data gaps with domain experts and other data/ML engineers.
• Improve pipeline reliability, turnaround time, and cost across product lines.
• Apply software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD) to data systems.
• Set technical direction for the data organization across multiple sites and mentor engineers.
