Job summary
Riot Games in Los Angeles is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Experiences and Automation team. You will help Riot collect and use data to improve player and Rioter experiences, expanding data consumption, reporting capabilities, and lifecycle tooling for data engineers and analysts.
You will collaborate with product partners and technical leads, participate in code reviews, join on-call rotations, and contribute to ML and GenAI pipelines while building distributed systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable field.
- Understanding of core data engineering concepts and data pipelines.
- 7+ years experience in Python, and SQL.
- 5+ years experience working with data warehousing.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environment.
- Experience with ML Operations and GenAI pipelines is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance systems that let team members engage with data tools.
- Attend stand-ups and team rituals, and collaborate to meet goals.
- Participate in code reviews with team members.
- Be part of an on-call rotation to support live products.
- Provide meaningful code reviews for other engineers.
- Collaborate with non-technical customers to deliver results.
