Intuit, Inc. in Mountain View is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the QuickBooks Capital and Lending Team. You will build enterprise-scale data pipelines using Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, DataBricks, and AWS, shaping data products for QuickBooks Capital customers.

The role is 90% hands-on, focusing on design, coding, testing, and production support, with cross-team collaboration and an emphasis on operational excellence. A BS/MS and 7+ years in data engineering are required.

Formación

• 7+ years’ experience developing data engineering pipelines with Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, DataBricks, AWS, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• 7+ years’ experience with Big Data technologies.
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Strong experience with Python and Spark and ability to understand a large existing codebase.
• Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience building and supporting large-scale enterprise data pipelines and featurization.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and production support.

Responsabilidades

• Understand functional requirements, develop technical designs and specifications, code and test.
• You will be required to size work of medium to large complexity and manage timelines and deliveries.
• Designing/developing software using data engineering technologies.
• You will be spending 90% hands-on designing, coding, testing and supporting production systems (on-call).
• Resolve defects/bugs during testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.
• Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, other engineering teams and business units to drive forward results.
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
