Job summary

Oviva is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. You will own building reliable, scalable data systems from source ingestion to end‑to‑end data products across the organization.

You will bring extensive data engineering experience, fluent SQL and Python, and hands-on work with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift) and dbt. Strong collaboration and a growth mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in data engineering and end‑to‑end data systems.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with dbt and orchestration tools (Airflow/Prefect/Dagster).

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable data pipelines and data products with documentation.
• Define testing, data modeling, CI/CD, and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with analytics, data science, and product teams to translate goals into designs.
• Monitor pipeline health and optimize data infrastructure for reliability.
• Mentor the team through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
