Job summary

Juniper Square is building a next-generation intelligent data platform for private markets—a greenfield initiative at the intersection of data engineering and applied AI. As a Staff Software Engineer, Data, you will own the design and delivery of core pipeline components, including schema mapping, normalization, validation, and distribution to downstream systems.

You will write production code daily, shape architectural decisions, and establish technical standards while adopting AI-assisted

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated staff-level scope and impact.
• A portfolio of shipped production systems demonstrating technical decisions and coding contributions.
• Strong hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT patterns, normalization, and API-based data distribution.
• Production experience building with LLMs: prompt design, orchestration, evaluation, and validation in real systems.
• fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows; ability to use these tools effectively.
• Experience with AWS data infrastructure; Redshift experience a plus.
• Strong written communication—translate technical design to clear docs for engineering and product audiences.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code and outputs, identifying failure modes and edge cases.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of core data platform components.
• Drive architectural decisions for an AI-native data warehouse serving institutional clients.
• Build AI evaluation infrastructure, including cross-model tooling and deterministic checks.
• Ship with AI-native development practices and contribute to SDLC evolution.
• Establish technical standards and mentorship as the team grows.
