CVS Health is seeking a Cyber Security Incident Response Engineer to enhance its security capabilities. This role focuses on building automation technologies that integrate with advanced SIEM and SOAR platforms, critical for detecting and responding to cybersecurity threats. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information security, particularly in healthcare or financial industries.

Position Summary
To combat cybersecurity threats, CVS has established a robust Cyber Security organization that includes a professional Cyber Security Incident Response team (CSIRT) that utilizes advanced SIEM and SOAR technologies to aggregate and correlate various cyber security signals into actionable alerts. This role is for CSIRT’s engineering team, who builds upon the SOAR platforms with automations to help facilitate investigations and enhance the detection and response capabilities of the teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build automation technologies to integrate with existing SOAR platforms that scale across a broad and complex environment.
- Closely coordinate with CSIRT IC’s and Leadership to review and address automation requests and enhancements.
Required Qualifications
7+ years relevant work experience in information security roles with experience in the health services or financial industries.
- 5+ years in incident response roles
Familiarity with industry leading EDR technologies, email security tooling, SOAR platforms, and FOSS and Commercial DFIR tooling.
Energetic, motivated, and the ability to work well and multitask on complex tasks with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling complex and sensitive investigations
- Experience in data loss prevention systems
- Experience in enterprise environments
- Experience in cyber security operations/defense teams (e.g. CIRT/CSIRT, SOC, etc).
- Experience in network and security technologies and administration
- Experience in endpoint engineering and/or server administration
- Experience with a variety of SIEM technologies and ability to learn various query languages.
- Knowledge of current and evolving Information security technologies.
- Cyber Security Certifications. SANS/GIAC or DoD III preferred (e.g. GCFE, GCFA, GCIH, GASF, GREM, GNFA, GIME, GMON, GCFR, CASP, CISSP)
Education
Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
