Job summary

KIOXIA America, Inc. is seeking a Staff Customer Qualification Engineer to support datacenter SSD product qualifications, develop test plans, perform failure analysis, and report status.

You will manage qualification infrastructure across multiple customers, drive execution to schedule, coordinate with Product Support, triage issues, and deliver regular test status reports.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer engineering or equivalent with 7+ years hands-on SSD/storage experience.
• Strong understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals.
• Platform-level troubleshooting and issue isolation.
• Experience triaging issues on Windows/Linux servers.
• Data manipulation/analysis experience.
• Strong technical communication.

Job Description

As a Staff Customer Qualification Engineer, your primary role is to provide support for customer qualifications on our datacenter SSD products. During the product qualification phase, you will provide support on test plan development and execution, failure analysis, and status reporting. This includes ensuring all hardware and software components of the qualification are in place and ready for execution, reporting on execution and issue status, and participating in update meetings.

• Plan and drive execution of customer qualifications according to schedule
• Work with the Product Support lead to ensure alignment of tasks
• Perform failure triage on any issues found during qualifications
• Drive issues to resolution in a timely manner
• Write test status reports on a regular basis

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer engineering or equivalent field with 7+ years hands-on technical experience with SSDs or related storage devices
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals
• Platform-level troubleshooting skills to include run/break/fix capabilities and issue isolation
• Experience triaging issues in Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
• Familiar with data manipulation/analysis (spreadsheets or more advanced tools)
• Good technical communication skills providing both detail and clarity in complex scenarios

Preferred:

• Experience with PCIe/NVMe protocols, including analyzer and power measurement tools
• Experience with SSD performance measurement tools and methodologies
• Experience with OCP Datacenter NVMe SSD specifications and SSD test system usage
• Experience engaging with stakeholders of a product development organization

The expected salary for this position is $115,470.00 - $192,440.00.
