Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a CT Technologist for a Glendale, Arizona position. The role performs CT imaging and related radiology procedures, with an 8-hour shift and a 40-hour work week in a staff, on-site capacity.

The candidate must operate CT equipment proficiently, assist with ARRT Technologist duties when not performing CT, and participate in on-call procedures. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available based on eligibility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of radiological procedures, including CT imaging and vascular/invasive studies.
• Operates CT equipment with attention to startup, calibration, QC and problem solving.
• Maintains communication with radiologists and patient, ensuring proper history and consent.
• Performs proper billing/charging with computer systems.

Position Summary

Performs a variety of radiological procedures, including vascular, invasive, interventional examinations and computerized tomographic procedures. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment. Ability to perform duties of ARRT Technologist when not performing CT. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated.

• Assists in evaluation of new procedures and equipment.
• Performs proper billing/charging with computer systems.
• Uses CT equipment. Proficiency with general operating procedure i.e. start up procedures, calibration of equipment, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, malfunctioning equipment and problem solving.
• Maintains inter and intra departmental communication via phone, fax, computer etc. Maintains appropriate communication with radiologists. In depth knowledge of human anatomy, proper patient positioning and good technical judgment.
• Adequate assessment and explanation of procedure to patient before testing occurs. CT protocols, biopsy and all other invasive procedure. Adequate history, consent form and lab values checked and documented before administering IV contrast.
• Use proper protocol for PACS and RIS electronic system.
