Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Tucson, AZ is seeking a CT Technologist Senior to join our imaging team. This staff role requires a strong background in CT, supervision of technologists and students, and a patient-centered approach.

You will work 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts, under the Director, coordinating department workflow, ensuring equipment availability, and upholding imaging standards. Required ARRT certification and CT training with at least 3 years CT experience; supervisory experience

Qualifications

• Education: Required graduate of accredited Imaging Program; Preferred: Associate degree.
• Experience: Required 3 years CT experience; Preferred: 2 years supervisory experience.
• Certifications: Required ARRT (R) and CT training/experience; must obtain CT Registry within one year of hire; AHA BLS; state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technologists and students in department.
• Coordinate workflow in department and hospital areas; provide guidance and ensure supplies and equipment availability.
• Oversee imaging students and evaluate assigned students.
• Support leadership and participate in hiring/firing decisions as appropriate.

Under the guidance of the Director, supervises activities of technologists/students working and/or rotating through the department including their discipline and performance while in that area. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Coordinates workflow in department and other areas of hospital; provides professional and technical guidance and confers with medical staff as appropriate; assures availability and functioning of supplies and equipment; makes recommendations on hiring, firing and disciplining staff; oversees Imaging students and evaluates assigned students

THE CT TECH SR FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

Education:

Required: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program
Preferred: Associate degree

Experience:

Required: 3 years CT experience
Preferred: 2 years supervisory experience

Certifications:

Required: ARRT (R) and documentation of CT training/ experience; must obtain CT Registry within one year of hire; AHA BLS; state license if required
