Job summary

Talent Connect Protocol seeks a Staff Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development and optimization of CV/ML systems for an autonomous robotic platform. The role focuses on real-time object detection, tracking, and classification, bridging software and hardware to deploy reliable perception in demanding environments.

This hands-on staff-level role requires extensive experience deploying production CV/ML systems across ML, robotics, embedded systems, sensors, and hardware

Qualifications

About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer to help lead the development and optimization of CV/ML systems at the core of an autonomous robotic platform.

The role is heavily focused on real-time object detection, tracking, and classification, with engineers working across the boundary of software and hardware to deploy highly reliable perception systems in demanding real-world environments.

This is a hands-on Staff-level engineering role for someone who has spent significant time building and deploying production computer vision systems and enjoys solving difficult problems across ML, robotics, embedded systems, sensors, and hardware integration.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for real-time detection, tracking, and classification
• Design and deploy ML models capable of operating in resource-constrained and latency-sensitive environments
• Build and optimize perception systems for real-world autonomous robotic applications
• Partner closely with electrical, embedded, and hardware engineers to integrate vision systems into physical platforms

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience working with machine-learning-based computer vision, ideally within robotics, autonomous systems, or similarly complex physical systems
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Familiarity with sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, RADAR, or related perception hardware
• Deep experience with object detection, tracking, classification, and real-time perception
• Strong track record developing and deploying production computer vision systems
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field
