Job summary

Google seeks a software engineer with deep C++ experience to design, build, and lead complex distributed systems and infrastructure. You will influence architecture across teams, guide software practices, and contribute to scalable, reliable cloud deployments.

Ideal candidates have extensive C++ programming and a strong background in large-scale system design, with leadership capabilities and a track record in high-velocity environments.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical leadership to the team, design, and architecture to build customer facing available, reliable, scalable systems.
• Involve in software design and implementations, adhere to software best practices and architectural considerations on a project-wide level.
• Collaborate across teams effectively, manage complex requirements and convert the outcomes into simplified solutions.
• Understand the AI/ML applications, performance monitoring, identify key problem areas, work with various dependency teams, prioritize and drive solutions effectively to consensus.
• Strategize and drive projects to improve development velocity, engineering excellence and product excellence.
