Job summary

Nscale in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Staff Cloud Native Software Engineer to build, operate, and improve cloud-native software integrations that connect AI applications with core networking components at scale.

You’ll work on shared Kubernetes-based platforms, CRDs, controllers, and operational tooling, partner with platform engineering and infra teams, and own significant components end-to-end. The base salary range is $220,000—$265,000 USD, with bonus/equity programs and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of production software development experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes-native software development with controllers, operators, CRDs, or admission webhooks.
• Strong Go programming and production-quality code.
• Experience with GPU-backed infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-native software for AI platforms.
• Extend Kubernetes control plane to support AI workloads.
• Own components end-to-end and set the technical direction.
• Mentor engineers and lead design discussions.
• Develop observability and automation for platform reliability.
