Job summary

Five9 is seeking a Staff Information Security Engineer to advance the Cyber Resiliency program across our cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). You will own governance, tooling, and escalations while engaging engineering to scale security practices company-wide.

The role emphasizes senior technical leadership, cloud security, and collaboration across security and engineering teams, with a fully remote setup for most locations and in-office options for specific regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information security with demonstrated senior-level technical expertise.
• Experience operationalizing a security program: governance, processes, and reporting, not just execution within an existing framework.

Responsibilities

• Own the operationalization and ongoing maturity of the Cyber Resiliency program across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Develop governance, SLAs for remediation, escalation paths, and quarterly review cadences.
• Build executive reporting on resilience scores, remediation velocity, and risk exposure by system criticality tier.
• Drive the communication plan to ensure engineering teams understand expectations before remediation tickets.
• Define prioritization frameworks balancing system criticality, environment, severity, and remediation effort.
• Collaborate with engineering leads to drive remediation of infrastructure resilience issues via Jira.
