Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Staff Client Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Site Reliability team to lead the management of enterprise Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu clients. The role focuses on scalable, secure client platform solutions and automation for deployment, configuration, and management.

You will work with IT Support, InfoSec and Developer Experience, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor teams while implementing CIS benchmarks and secure hardening across devices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering solutions at scale and managing diverse client platforms.
• Expertise with macOS, Windows, and Linux system administration.
• Experience deploying configuration management tools (Intune, Kandji, Puppet, Ansible, Chef).
• Automation experience with Powershell, Go, or Python; strong change management and stakeholder collaboration.
• Understanding of client endpoint security concepts and CIS Benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Guide the approach and execution of the Client Platform Engineering Team.
• Plan, design, and implement scalable solutions to manage Aurora's client platforms (Mac, Windows, Ubuntu) for security, configuration, and software updates.
• Partner with IT Support, InfoSec, and Developer Experience on strategy and implementation.
• Handle escalations from IT Support and mentor the team to address similar problems.
• Participate in the Enterprise SRE 24/7 on-call rotation.
