Job summary

Knightscope, Inc in Sunnyvale is looking for a Staff Chassis and Motion Control Engineer to lead the development of mechanical and control systems for their autonomous security robots. You will design and integrate chassis architecture, suspension, and drive systems.

This role requires a strong background in vehicle dynamics, mechanical design, and control theory, with at least 10 years of automotive experience preferred. A hands-on technical leader is sought to implement effective control algorithms and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of automotive experience.
• Experience designing systems with a combination of custom and off the shelf parts.
• Proven delivery of chassis systems, with at least one product taken from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop braking and steering concepts for autonomous security robots.
• Collaborate with autonomy and electrical teams to ensure vehicle controllability.
• Define and develop chassis control strategies and electrical architecture.
