Job summary

University of the Cumberlands is seeking a full-time Staff BI Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions. The role migrates institutional reporting to certified Snowflake data assets and partners with stakeholders to ensure accurate, effective reporting.

Responsibilities include designing dashboards, leading the Snowflake migration, validating outputs, and mentoring team members as the BI function matures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of BI dashboard development.
• Advanced Power BI skills: data modeling, DAX, and performance.
• Strong SQL: joins, aggregations, dataset validation.
• Experience building BI solutions on Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Knowledge of BI data modeling concepts, including star schemas and reusable semantic layers.

To support the Office of Innovation, the full-time Staff Business Intelligence Developer will design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions, transitioning institutional reporting to certified data assets in Snowflake while partnering with stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for various functional areas, ensuring accuracy and performance
• Lead the migration from legacy reporting to certified Snowflake data assets, validating outputs and refining reports as needed
• Establish best practices for Power BI development and mentor team members as the BI function matures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in developing enterprise Power BI dashboards and semantic models
• Advanced skills in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization
• Strong SQL proficiency, including joins, aggregations, and dataset validation
