The Role

We are seeking an experienced backend software engineer to join the Platform Integrations team. The ideal candidate is a staff engineer responsible for building client onboarding solutions that allow clients to bring their data into our systems, report, analyze, and access all data centrally.

In collaboration with Product, Client Solution teams, and other engineering groups, you will design and implement performant workflows and data systems that support day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high scalability and low friction for internal teams.

The Platform Integration team is passionate about handling large volumes of data and automating manual effort. We seek a staff engineer motivated by technical challenges and a desire to understand user problems today. What You’ll Do

• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Client Solution teams, and engineering teams to deliver holistic client onboarding solutions.
• Write well‑designed and tested code to solve complex engineering problems.
• Lead individual projects, including ownership of areas such as technical solution and architecture design, timeline and estimation, coding and implementation.
• Communicate technical ideas and steer direction on projects from an engineering standpoint.
• Mentor and guide other engineers on the team.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably with Python and/or Java.
• A strong ownership mentality and strong communication skills. You enjoy taking ideas from inception through to production.
• Robust analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with data processing and analysis using PySpark or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Experience building data systems using AWS is a plus.

Compensation

Addepar takes a market‑based approach to pay. The successful candidate’s starting pay is based on the role, job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The current range for this role is $150,000 – $234,000 and is presented as the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment. The compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits.
