Job summary

Notabene is seeking a backend systems engineer to design and build core transaction platform components for correctness, scalability, and auditability in the United States. You will own production systems end-to-end with on-call rotation.

You'll work with Go and statically typed languages (Java, Kotlin, Rust, C#), and contribute to PostgreSQL data models and scalable architectures. Mentoring and code reviews are part of the role, along with integrating AI agents into daily workflows.

Qualifications

• Deep systems design and distributed systems experience with correctness-critical logic.
• Strong backend programming in Go or Java/Kotlin/Rust/C# with willingness to ship Go quickly.
• PostgreSQL expertise including schema design, query plans, isolation levels, and multi-tenant data.
