Tapestry is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer in Mountain View, CA to anchor technical direction for Infrastructure and Developer Productivity. The role focuses on building scalable, secure platforms and self-service tools for developers, with close collaboration on multi-year roadmaps and architecture.

You will lead architectural discussions, mentor engineers, and shape pipelines and environments that accelerate delivery while ensuring reliability and security across our cloud-based

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production experience in Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• 2+ years in a formal Tech Lead or Staff Engineer role directing roadmaps and designs.
• Expertise with Kubernetes (GKE), container networking, and multi-tenant cloud architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi) and cloud deployments.
• Experience building large-scale CI/CD pipelines and internal developer platforms.
• Ability to interview internal stakeholders and treat platforms as products.
• Familiarity with AI workloads, sandboxes, and GPU orchestration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate scalable multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters on GCP.
• Lead system designs and engineering reviews with cross-team stakeholders.
• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments.
• Build secure, self-service tooling and sandbox environments for AI workflows.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and disaster recovery planning.
