Job summary

Altruist is seeking a Staff Back End Engineer for its Platform team in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on building and scaling robust backend systems and tooling used across product teams, with autonomy in design and implementation while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional partners.

You will contribute to services for shared infrastructure and advance security, testing, and reliability in a hybrid work setting requiring three in-office days per week in SF or Culver City.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend experience in B2B fintech/SaaS environments.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong SQL knowledge (Postgres/MySQL).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm; AWS experience.
