Gusto, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Payroll Platform to design and evolve backend infrastructure powering payroll experiences. You will own critical APIs and services used by multiple product teams to deliver accurate and scalable payroll functionality.

You will lead ownership of a primary payroll-domain, ensuring system health, reliability, and long-term evolution while partnering with other engineering squads to raise the bar on payroll capabilities across the company.
