Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Host Pricing and Availability team. You will drive technical strategy and delivery of the pricing product roadmap, partnering with Product, Design and Data Science to architect scalable solutions and improve performance across pricing systems.

You will lead the development and optimization of core pricing and availability products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers to raise technical maturity.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of engineering experience with a BS/MS or PhD in CS or similar.
• Proven track record of leading teams, setting technical strategy, and launching high-impact product features.
• Expertise with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures.
• Experience influencing cross-functional partners and engineering teams.
• Good judgment balancing short-term needs with long-term technical quality.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging abilities.

Responsibilities
