Job summary

ClickUp is hiring for a senior backend engineer to build and optimize tier-1 services that power our all-in-one productivity platform. You will develop scalable backend systems using Node.js (Express/NestJS), design efficient RESTful APIs, and work with PostgreSQL and other data stores.

• 8+ years of professional experience building backend services for SaaS products.
• Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems.
• Expertise in relational database query optimizations (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Extensive experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling challenges.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with frontend technologies (Angular, React, Vue).
• Professional experience with NodeJs, Express, and NestJS
