Job summary

Grafana Labs is a fully remote company enabling teams worldwide to monitor, observe, and act on data. As a backend-focused engineer on Grafana Alerting, you will help scale alerting and SLOs across Grafana Cloud and on-prem environments.

You’ll contribute to open-source projects and collaborate with diverse, global teams to deliver reliable, scalable observability tooling. You’ll work across distributed systems, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor teammates while expanding your cloud

Qualifications

• Self-starter with bias toward action.
• Customer focused with a user-centric approach.
• Experience building distributed backend services.
• Familiarity with Go, Python, C++, or Rust is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Influence roadmap and set personal career objectives.
• Collaborate with team to deliver new features and iterate from results.
• Drive projects from ideation to production operations.
• Contribute to open-source projects beyond team scope.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain reliable, high-performance systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own the services you run.
• Mentor teammates and participate in design discussions.
