Job summary

Alldus is seeking a Staff Backend/Distributed Systems Engineer for a fast-growing crypto trading startup in New York. You will lead a small engineering team, own complex projects from design to production, and collaborate across backend and frontend systems.

You will build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Go, with some Rust, deliver high-performance trade infrastructure, and develop on-chain data pipelines and portfolio tracking.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years' software engineering experience, demonstrating the technical judgement and ownership expected at Staff level or above.
• Strong backend development skills, with experience designing and delivering production services.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex technical projects from planning through deployment.
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and changing business priorities within a small engineering team.
• Experience developing crypto products, particularly within Solana or EVM ecosystems, is an advantage.
• React or full-stack development experience, alongside personal crypto trading experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Go, with some development in Rust.
• Deliver reliable, high-performance infrastructure for trade execution.
• Develop pipelines for on-chain data ingestion and accurate portfolio tracking.
• Build backend capabilities for social features, trader discovery and personalized content recommendations.
• Enhance analytics pipelines to inform product development and business decisions.
• Scale and optimize systems to support growing user activity and trading volumes.
• Take ownership of technical challenges, from defining implementation plans to delivering production solutions.
• Work across backend and frontend systems, contributing to React applications where needed.
