Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer in Chicago for a hybrid role. You will influence cloud strategy, mentor teams, and drive modernization across a large-scale fintech platform leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and automation tools.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of software or cloud engineering experience, deep AWS knowledge, and strong background in distributed systems and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong AWS experience across compute, networking, storage, security, and observability.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience building distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and automation.
