Job summary

Lockheed Martin RMS seeks a Navigation Systems Engineer to lead design, development, integration, and verification of navigation solutions for aerospace systems in Owego, NY. You will guide multis disciplinary teams to deliver high-performance, resilient navigation architectures meeting stringent mission requirements.

Responsibilities include defining architectures (GNSS/INS), interfacing with software, suppliers and customers, tracing requirements, and ensuring MIL-STD compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with navigation systems (GNSS, INS, etc.) and related sensors.
• Broad systems engineering experience including architecture, design, documentation, CONOPS and verification.
• Experience integrating and testing hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve navigation system architectures (GNSS, INS, sensor fusion).
• Interface with cross functional teams to align technical solutions with program goals.
• Capture, trace and verify system requirements using DOORS or equivalent; ensure MIL-STD compliance.
• Contribute to system design and requirements development to align with customer needs.
• Identify, analyze and resolve software and system-level defects to maintain mission readiness.
