Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer - Automation to lead design and deployment of advanced automation across its global network.

You will partner with plant teams, engineering leaders, and suppliers to build smarter manufacturing systems and ensure readiness from concept to launch. You will guide capability development in robotics, vision systems, and automation tools, aligning with Kohler’s long-term manufacturing strategy and SQDC improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering required.
• 8+ years related to mechanical design of automation.
• Proficiency with Creo (3D modeling) and Fanuc Roboguide.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
• Willingness to travel ~30% across US, Canada and Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Support the global strategy for automated solutions focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop standardized automation processes and ensure information availability.
• Participate in design reviews with plant teams to meet requirements.
• Ensure equipment and process readiness before project kick-off.
• Deliver automation capabilities for new product launches.
