Job description

The Staff Auditor participates in projects as directed and is primarily responsible for developing and applying basic audit skills – including knowledge of company policies and procedures, and basic business knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Participates in audit projects including executing audit testing procedures, as directed.
  2. Interacts with internal clients to gather information and make recommendations.
  3. Compiles and analyzes data.
  4. Develops a broad-base of audit and technology audit expertise across multiple businesses.
  5. Demonstrates a greater understanding on a project-by-project basis.
  6. Evaluates and provides appropriate solutions for problems with low to moderate complexity.
  7. Develops and applies basic audit skills – including knowledge of company policies and procedures, and basic business knowledge.
  8. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and analytical skills while conducting audit activities independently while seeking guidance and confirmation from manager as needed.

Education and Experience: Minimum

  1. BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) required.

Education and Experience: Preferred

  1. CPA candidate or progress toward other professional designation (e.g. CIA) preferred.
