Job description

We are seeking leaders with a desire to improve governmental accounting practices in the State of Louisiana. Recovery Assistance auditors perform a variety of moderately complex activities that require professional judgment, intuition, logic, analytical ability, technical knowledge, research skills, and initiative.

Staff Auditor 1 has a minimum annual salary of $49,000.

Staff Auditor 2 has a minimum annual salary of $52,920.

Staff Auditor 3 has a minimum annual salary of $57,680.

Sr. Auditor1 has a minimum annual salary of $64,150.

Sr. Auditor2 has a minimum annual salary of $76,230.

Responsibilities

A successful CPA in this environment needs to be highly organized, self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage their time effectively in order to balance work and personal responsibilities.

The Recovery Assistance Services team is a collaborative environment where auditors work individually to complete their assignments while consulting with teammates, the engagement client, and other external stakeholders as issues arise.

Auditors generally apply agreed-upon procedures to evaluate the sufficiency of documentation to ensure that disaster funding is spent appropriately.

Auditors communicate the results of their work on a daily basis and present their findings in a written report.

Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university (in any major), meeting the eligibility requirements to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana, OR
  • Possess certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
