  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; sharp analytical and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full execution of audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion.
  • Perform targeted accounting analyses, forensic reviews, and specialized attest engagements.
  • Serve as a primary contact for client accounting teams, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Manage project timelines, prioritize deliverables across concurrent engagements, and ensure proactive communication.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and prepare clear audit documentation in accordance with US GAAP.

Peak to Creek Precision Staffing is partnering with an established, highly regarded public accounting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area seeking a driven Staff Auditor to join their assurance and business advisory practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit & Assurance Execution: Participate in the full execution of audit, review, and compilation engagements from initial planning through completion.
  • Special Advisory Projects: Perform targeted accounting analyses, forensic reviews, and specialized attest engagements under the mentorship of senior leadership.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for client accounting teams, fostering positive, long-term working relationships.
  • Workflow Management: Manage project timelines, prioritize deliverables across concurrent engagements, and ensure proactive communication.
  • Technical Compliance: Conduct technical accounting research and prepare clear, accurate audit documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA Eligibility: Completion of all academic requirements necessary to sit for the CPA exam (CPA candidate or CPA-eligible).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, Outlook) and modern engagement software.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional written/verbal communication, sharp analytical skills, and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
  • 3+ years of progressive audit or public accounting experience with strong GAAP compliance exposure.
  • Active progress toward passing the CPA exam modules.
Pay range and compensation package

Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 Base Salary + Annual Performance Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
