Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Audiologist (FGP) (37.5 hours) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient hearing, administering and interpreting behavioral and electrophysiological tests, fitting amplification devices, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient hearing through behavioral and electrophysiological measures, including air and bone conduction, speech reception and discrimination tests, otoacoustic emissions, immittance testing, ABR, and ASSR.
  • Document all findings accurately in patient charts and prepare reports.
  • Communicate findings effectively to referring physicians and healthcare team members.
  • Perform electrophysiological measurements of auditory potentials, nerve conduction velocity, and electromyography.
  • Evaluate, fit, and dispense amplification devices; provide counseling and training to patients and families.
  • Follow all departmental and medical center policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Audiology degree.
  • NY State Audiology License and Hearing Aid Dispensing License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Applicants must apply for a Hearing Aid Dispensing License within the first year of employment.

Required Licenses: NYS Audiologist License

Preferred Qualifications: None specified

The salary range for this role is $67,771.14 - $90,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range complies with New York law on salary transparency.
