Job summary

The Oakland office of a nationwide commercial litigation firm with over 60 attorneys seeks a staff attorney to develop an insurance coverage practice and support partners on sophisticated matters. The position is in-person, full-time.

The role requires a J.D. and California Bar admission, and at least 2 years of relevant litigation or insurance coverage experience. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation depends on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and prepare coverage opinions, memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
Analyze issues involving insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
Review contracts and insurance policies.
Assist with discovery, document review, and case management.
Prepare deposition, mediation, and trial materials.
Communicate with attorneys, clients, and experts.
