Job summary

You will handle cutting-edge immigration litigation for individuals with a focus on unaccompanied children and families, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary staff to provide holistic, client-centered advocacy.

Responsibilities include direct representation, relief eligibility, SIJS work, and coordination with experts.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license or eligibility to waive into CA Bar.
• Strong case management, legal research, and writing skills.
• Willingness to zealously pursue new legal theories and work under pressure.

• Passion for social justice for immigrants.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct removal proceedings representation for unaccompanied children and families.
• Represent clients in deportation and related state court proceedings.
• Develop legal strategies and eligibility for relief.
• Coordinate with SIJS and related guardianship cases as needed.
• Work with country conditions experts and medical professionals to support relief applications.
• Travel to shelters, detention centers, and other settings to interview clients and prepare declarations.
