LOCATION: Hybrid Remote - Lubbock, Texas
Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas (LANWT) seeks a dynamic, self-starting attorney with vision, initiative, and a demonstrated commitment and passion for public interest law to fill a staff attorney position in its Lubbock Office. The successful candidate will provide daily representation in civil legal matters, demonstrate a commitment to strategic advocacy, and engage in outreach and collaboration with low-income persons and community groups serving the indigent.
LANWT is a non-profit public interest law firm providing high-quality free civil legal services to low-income persons across 114 counties in North and West Texas. Located in Lubbock, the office serves a diverse urban and rural community.
The attorney will provide high-quality representation in accordance with LANWT policies, Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, the Texas Lawyers Creed, and ABA standards.
The starting salary for a new attorney is $73,815 annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience. Benefits include paid sick leave, vacation, holidays, a retirement plan, and health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
