Job summary

Community Legal Services (CLS) in Arizona seeks a dedicated attorney to interview applicants and clients, evaluate cases, and provide legal advice or representation. The role includes file management, supervising paralegals, and engaging in outreach to broaden access to justice for people with low incomes.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the Arizona State Bar (or eligible on hire) and has experience in legal services; Spanish fluency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Arizona State Bar membership or eligibility upon hire.
• Experience in legal services and advocacy for low-income clients preferred.
• Spanish fluency (written and spoken) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants and clients; evaluate case for appropriate action; provide legal advice and representation.
• Complete applications for services and perform file management.
• Supervise paralegals' legal work as directed and participate in outreach activities.
• Conduct legal research and engage in strategic advocacy to expand access to justice for low-income clients.
